Meet the Founders: Liz and JoAnn
Before founding Capitol Teachers, Liz and JoAnn spent 17 years each in public school classrooms. Both were rated highly effective educators, recognized as Expert Teachers, nominated for Teacher of the Year, and honored with the prestigious Rubenstein Award for Excellence in Teaching.
In their classrooms, they were known for creating engaging, innovative lessons and forming deep, meaningful connections with their students. That same passion for teaching and belief in the power of relationships is what fuels Capitol Teachers today.
